Spell Work

 

Candles can be used in several ways within magic or spell casting, This can be done with colour association  or anointing with oils before burning; this enables you to use the powers of colour magic or spell casting with oils and incense within your work. Also you can use them to simply enhance the mood for a ritual.

Candles are also used to show respect in offering thanks to the goddess and can be used to associate the Goddess with whom you are working, especially at times of the full moon and Sabbats where colour candles do come into their own.

White candles are most often associated with the moon Goddess and are a good general colour as it is a neutral colour they are best for anointing.
